Maryland Aviation Administration
Passenger Facility Charge Application #6

November 15, 2006

The Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA) has participated in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) program since1992. This program uses revenues derived from a per passenger charge to fund capital improvements at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. Past PFC-funded projects have included the new international terminal, runway extensions, terminal roadway improvements, airfield apron and taxiway rehabilitation, snow fighting equipment and fire safety and security improvements.

The MAA now proposes the continued use of PFC revenues to fund additional eligible capital projects in its ongoing six-year capital improvement program. FAA regulations require consultation with the airlines serving BWI and an opportunity for review and comment by the public. MAA is soliciting public review and comments based on the summary of the proposed continuation of the Passenger Facility Charge available at this link. (PDF file)

If you have any comments on the MAA’s PFC proposal, please click here, call 410-859-7010 or fax your comments to 410-684-3050. The deadline for comments is December 15, 2006.
